    Apple introduced Face ID with the iPhone X in 2017, a new way to unlock the screen and secure the phone. Face ID a form of biometric authentication. Fingerprint recognition is also biometric. Instead of one or more fingerprints, as with Touch ID, Face ID relies on the unique characteristics of your face. How does that work exactly? In this short video, the advanced technology is explained in rather simple terms.
